Q & A
JANE IREDALE V's ANASTASIA B.H
TINTED BROW GEL
Anastasia Beverly Hills tinted brow gels are rated as one of the best on the market, so I wanted to take this opportunity to compare one with a more natural version by Jane Iredale. As well as pale lips in winter I get pale eyebrows in summer, the sun tends to bleach them. So using a tinted eyebrow gel is a quick and efficient way of putting some definition back.
What follows is a Q&A about both products and photographs of both so you can see what they look like...
What follows is a Q&A about both products and photographs of both so you can see what they look like...
Do they stay on in water?
Yep. They only come off if any rubbing is involved and if you're spending an excessive amount of time with your head constantly in water.
Are they sweat proof?
Yep. I go biking for an hour every day which involves a 100 meter climb and with the whether being as hot as it has been lately, I tested them out and both eyebrows were in place when I got back, phew!
Do they keep your Eyebrows in shape?
Yep
How heavy/comfortable does the product feel?
If you apply more than one layer you can start to feel the weight of both J.I and Anastasia. Anastasia does have more of a "force" to it in "lacquer" terms. However if you can try J.I first because it does perform brilliantly and of course its a natural cosmetic!
TIP...
You can pair eyebrow powder up with eyebrow gels especially if you're wanting to achieve a more defined brow. As well as waxes to help keep eyebrow hair in place and add a sweatproof/water resistant layer. However its not always necessary and if its depth of colour you're wanting, just add more layers of the brow gel.
This is good to know if you're packing for a festival or a holiday and you're really needing to reduce the size and weight of your make up bag/brick!

Over all I prefer Jane Iredale because...its natural of course!
It doesn't make your brows feel so stuck in place but just nicely groomed. No doubting Anastsia is a good brow gel and the colour selection is great but compare the ingredients below...
I feel that if a brow gel can offer you great results, with kinder ingredients and at a better price then there's no contest.
J.I doesn't have such a wide selection of colours but you can mix colours together if need be, or use it together with a coloured brow powder to achieve the best colour for your brows.
You can also use J.I brow tint as a light mascara too. I personally have never tried it as a mascara but if I get chance I'll test it out and let you know...or if you've used it as a mascara let me know what you thought of it.

"All parabens can cause contact allergies and skin sensitization".
This book gives greater detail on the above ingredient and I would heavily recommend you
getting hold of this book if you can, its a great reference book.
Another great book is "No more Dirty Looks" by Siobhan O'Connor and Alexandra Spunt. Its more entertaining to read and a better one to start with, especially if you're just getting started on your natural-beauty-brick-road!
